fuck me

hello all,

so, i know i haven't been keeping up with posting/commenting--sorry about that. it's just this tegretol has kind of knocked me on my ass what with the nausea, drowsiness, (near constant) headaches, light-headedness,  dizziness and other side effects. you'll have to excuse me if i become a little inactive. but as soon as the side effects go away or i get off this drug, i'll be back to my old self, so to speak.

later,

alex

safety first

A short post:

My Grandpa talking about his airplane passing its yearly safety inspection...

"It's a good thing I caught that problem with the engine before the inspection. Although, I would know the plane wasn't airworthy if the pistons exploded mid-flight."

that's it,

fun with medication names

a conversation I had with Amanda:

Amanda: Some of these psychiatric medications have really scary sounding names. "Anti-psychotics"? That's pretty fucking scary.
Me: Well, that's not a very accurate description of them, though. What about "anti-convulsants"?
Amanda: That's not any better.
Me: "anti-epileptics"?
Amanda: Nope.
Me: How about "good time happy pills"?
Amanda: That sounds illegal.

No words...

A morning conversation with my Dad.

commercial for vagisal: ...for when you just don't feel yourself.
Dad: You know, I think I need some of that.
Me: I'm just going to ignore that.
Dad: But sometimes I don't feel myself!
Me: Still ignoring you, Dad.

My step niece had her 13th birthday the other day. Theme: twilight.

I'll get around to posting family conversations from the party once I get the pictures of the cake loaded. I only want to wait because the cake is ridiculous.

It's a start

Welcome.

I’m Alex. It seems only fitting that before I start writing, I provide you with a list of the major players in my life just so you know who's who.

That's all for now,

~Alex
